Brian Johnston joins Canada's largest new home builder in key leadership role

OAKVILLE, ON, June 4, 2012 /CNW/ - Mattamy Homes, Canada's largest new-home builder, is pleased to announce that Brian Johnston has joined the company as its new Chief Operating Officer.

Brian was most recently the President of Monarch Corporation, the Canadian arm of U.S.-based homebuilder Taylor Morrison. As President of Monarch, Brian was responsible for all facets of the company's low- and high-rise businesses in Canada. Prior to that, Brian also served as Monarch's EVP and Chief Financial Officer and was instrumental in Monarch's expansion in the US as well as its entry into the Toronto high-rise sector in the 1990s.

Brian will be located at Mattamy's headquarters in Oakville. Mattamy's Canadian and US operations will report into him.

Brian holds a Bachelors of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto, and is a Chartered Accountant, having received his designation in 1983.
