Experienced Mattamy leader will direct the company's significant growth strategy in the US

OAKVILLE, ON, Feb. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Mattamy Homes is pleased to announce that Jim Leiferman has been appointed President of the company's US Group, effective February 16^th, 2015.

Since joining Mattamy as President of its Orlando Division in November 2013, Jim has exceeded plans on profitability and customer satisfaction, doubled the land available for production and put the Division in excellent position to achieve aggressive future targets.

In his new role as President, US Group, for North America's largest privately owned homebuilder, Jim will oversee the delivery of significant and exciting growth plans for Mattamy in the US – the company plans to more than double the size of its US business over the next five years.

Jim has held leadership roles in the real estate industry for more than 20 years, including almost 15 years in the Florida markets. Most notably, he was Florida Area President for Pulte Homes, a region that was responsible for building 8,000 homes in one year. Immediately prior to joining Mattamy he was the President and COO of Vantem Composite Technologies, a private-equity owned manufacturing and building solutions company. Jim was also President at First Heights Bank, a subsidiary of Pulte, in Houston. Jim holds a BBA in Accounting from Lamar University (Beaumont, TX), and was also a Certified Public Accountant in Texas.
