Experienced homebuilding executive Trace Mills will direct the company's operations and growth strategy in Minnesota

EDINA, MN, June 9, 2016 /CNW/ - Mattamy Homes, North America's largest privately owned homebuilder, is pleased to announce that Trace Mills has been appointed President of the company's Minnesota Division, effective June 1, 2016. Trace will oversee all aspects of Mattamy's business – including land acquisition and development, marketing, sales and construction – in Minnesota.

"Trace brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role of President, including not only nearly 20 years of experience in the Minnesota housing market, but also deep familiarity with Mattamy's business from spending the last three years as VP Operations with our Minnesota Division," says Jim Leiferman, President of Mattamy's US Group. As VP of Operations since joining Mattamy in February 2013, Trace led the construction, warranty and purchasing functions. Prior to joining Mattamy, Trace was with The Ryland Group as VP of their Minneapolis-St. Paul Division, where he had operational responsibility for land development, architecture, warranty, customer relations and construction.

Trace is an active member of a number of industry associations, including the National Association of Homebuilders, the Builders Association of the Twin Cities and the Twin Cities Builder Association Foundation, of which he just finished a term as President. He holds builder licenses in both Minnesota and Wisconsin, and has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin.
